![]() There's no screen blinking glitch for me to be honest, although in night stages if you sustain damage or if you go too hard on jumps your lights will fail and turn off sometimes for half a second or so. But hey DR is annoying sometimes as well, sometimes the codriver calls are flawed just like the last game, and the fact that it only comes with 6 rallies (with another 6 if you'd like to pay) can make the locations a bit repetitive. ![]() Also the aquaplaining in wet weather was so annoying but that's a nitpick on my part. I stooped playing wrc8 because the lack of a constant good fps did become a problem for me, specially as it becomes much clearer when you play wrc8 and suddenly change to any other game. The career mode aspect is way better and more fleshed out in wrc8 as well, and the testing grounds feature is something I never thought would be so incredible, no rally game has ever done it so well and DR 2.0 free roam feature is like a 1 cent coin compared to WRC8s 100 dollar bill of testing ground. The thing is though, the stages in WRC8 are better almost all the time, they are definetly more diverse in textures than DR, they are much more aggresive, and the thread of being safely in the track and doing barrel rolls is very fine, the tracks can get very twisty and confusing if you don't pay attention, and as they tend to be narrow they feel very fast and beautifully chaotic. Wrc8 comes with many more rallies, but with 4 stages each I believe. ![]() Also, you get the Rally Cross championship as a feature and trust me, it's soo good.ĭirt Rally only comes with 6 rallies like the last game unfortunately, but with 12 stages each. DR has a biggee variety of cars than WRC8 which of course has the wrc, wrc2, wrc2pro cars and a couple históric cars, but to be honest most feel the same, while in DR each car has it's own characteristics and way of driving. WRC8 force feedback feels more wonky and floaty to me than in Dirt Rally 2.0 which, except for the tarmac in the spanish rally, feels exceptional, you feel everything, much more than in the first game. I had the opportunity to buy both this games for less than 30 bucks so Im not taking price into account. ![]() To be honest both DR2 and WRC8 have their pros and cons all in my personal opinion that is, and in the ps4 console specifically. For me it became an annoyance after some time, but if it's cheap enough do give it a go. It's definetly below 30 in half of scenarios. The fps are not low as in unplayable but they are subpar. ![]()
